Philomel/Philomela

- Philomela and Procne were the daughters of King Padion of Athens.
- Procne was married to King Tereus of Thrace
- King Tereus later raped Philomela and cut off her tongue. Philomela had worn a tapestry that revealed the evidence of what happened. She showed it to Procne, who made Tereus eat his own son by mistake. When the chase began all over again, All three were turned into birds, each a different type.
